Local Area Marketing For Small Business

Posted on February 7th, 2013 in Website Marketing by hippieclothes

This is a great article with tons of info and references for those of you trying to market local businesses. It's amazing to me still how many small business owners don't understand the importance of targeting keywords, keyword research itself, and basic onpage seo. If you want to be found online you simply have to focus on these things first. Then you need to worry about ranking. If you don't do them first, you will never rank.

I always refer to that marketing cliche that everyone knows: Location, location, location. And though "keywords" and "seo" sound super scary, they are about location. It's about being where the customers are looking for you. In other words, being where they are.

In today's online market that absolutely means you have to have a website, you need a social presence as well (the more the better!) (Yes, this means Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn, etc! Visit this Little Rock social media manager if you want help with managing all this for you.), you need to engage your customers, build trust with them. You have to have a mobile site where half your customers are looking for you! (Check out this Little Rock mobile design site if you need help!)

All in all you have to have someone to act as a liason between you and your peeps! If you don't you won't make it. But it all starts with keywords. So, check this article out, read the articles it tells you about, and drop us a line if you have any comments or questions.
